Should We Impeach?

Isaiah 3:4

New International Version

“I will make mere youths their officials; children will rule over them.”

English Standard Version

“And I will make boys their princes, and infants shall rule over them.”

When God wants to bless a nation, He gives them strong leadership. When He

removes His blessing, he leaves them with children, spiritually immature leaders.

This past May, 5 months ago, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko lost his reelection bid to Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Zelenskiy is a Ukrainian actor, comedian, screenwriter, film producer, director, and since May, 2019 the 6th President of Ukraine.

On December 31, 2018, Zelenskiy announced his candidacy for the 2019 Ukrainian presidential election. On April 21, 2019, Zelenskiy defeated Petro Poroshenko with more than 70% of the votes to win the election. Before he became president, he played the role of President of Ukraine in the popular Ukrainian television series called ‘Servant of the People,’ which was produced by his production company.

Why would the people in the Ukraine give him such a strong win with 70% of the votes? With the prior administration, the people had become afraid of the corruption. They wanted a new voice. The BIG question everyone in Ukraine leadership was wondering is would he dissolve the Parliament once he took office?

In July 2019, President Trump had a phone conversation with Zelenskiy about former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. THIS is now what’s at the center of the House impeachment inquiry of President Trump.

Here’s some background:

In 1988, Time Magazine selected Mikhail Gorbachev to be its “Man of the Year” for his work toward ending the Cold War. In 1989 Time magazine named him its “Man of the Decade.”

In 1990, Gorbachev won the Nobel Peace Prize.

On November 9, 1989, The Berlin Wall fell which led to East and West Germany officially reuniting.

On Christmas Day 1991, the Soviet flag flew over the Kremlin in Moscow for the last time.

On June 12, 1991, Boris Yeltsin won 57% of the popular vote and became the leader of Russia.

Ukraine, Belorussia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia were territories that were split away from the Soviet Union after the collapse of Communism.

In 2004, the Bush administration had given $65 million to provide 'democracy training' to opposition leaders and political advisors to support Ukraine. In an article dated March 6, 2014 in The Guardian speaking about the United States financial support of Ukraine, “This programme has accelerated under Obama. In a speech at the National Press Club in Washington DC last December, as Ukraine's Maidan Square clashes escalated, Nuland confirmed that the U.S. had invested in total "over $5 billion" to "ensure a secure and prosperous and democratic Ukraine".

Now let’s go back 5 years ago to February 2014.

Russia is invading Crimea. The Russian military intervention into Eastern Ukraine, the Russo-Ukrainian War, is a series of military actions that started in February 2014 and continues into 2019. The 2014 headline in The Guardian was: Ukraine crisis is about Great Power oil, gas pipeline rivalry.

There was a coup in Kiev, in the capital of Ukraine. The chaos was called the Ukrainian Revolution of 2014. It was a series of violent events involving police, protesters, and snipers. The result was the overthrow of the Ukrainian Government and Vikor Tanukovych, its president, fleeing for safety. He went to Russia where he was actually charged and found guilty of treason. Thursday, February 20th was the bloodiest day. Police deployed snipers and

the authorities blocked trains coming to Kiev from the anti-government west, while protesters in the east lay down on railway tracks to prevent the transporting of military reinforcements to the capital. The health ministry said 67 people had been killed and 562 wounded.

The White House said Joe Biden, then the vice-president, spoke to Viktor Yanukovych on that Thursday by telephone and warned him that the United States was preparing to sanction officials responsible for the violence. Vice President Biden became the point man. With the country destabilized, some wanted to take advantage of this and tried to form partnership with the incoming powers that be.

---------------------------------------

Hunter Biden, Biden’s son and the son of John Kerry formed a partnership. They wanted to be investment bankers. So they form a gas company called Burisma. Remember how important oil and gas are to the Ukraine.

The United States then told Ukraine they wanted to loan them $1 billion for equipment and training of security forces. The U.S. told Ukraine that they had to start a corporation to deal with the political and corporate corruption. That became known as the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. NABU the anti-corruption agency tasked to investigate corruption in Ukraine could investigate corruption and prepare cases for prosecution but it did not have the power to indict suspects. The money we sent to Ukraine was held in a bank called Private Bank whose owner was so corrupt he could not get a Visa to enter the United States. Then this bank somehow LOST $1.8 billion.

Corruption was rampant so in late 2015, the DNC began an investigation. It began to do research on Donald Trump. They looked at the ambassador to Ukraine and the headquarters in Ukraine. THIS is where the accusation that Russia is involved comes from.

In April 2018, we had the Mueller report which turned out to be nothing.

Then there is a trial that takes place in Ukraine. Leaders are found guilty of corruption and should go to prison. But before sentencing takes place, the decision goes on to be appealed. The is very little, if any, U.S. media coverage on this but it's front page news in Ukraine.

So the government now has leaders being found guilty of corruption. Because of government corruption in Ukraine that spreads so deep, we are led to a new election in Ukraine in April 2019 and a new leader in Ukraine with no previous political background.

Next Trump fires the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine because that's what started all of this in the first place. At the same time, the Ukraine leader fires the Ukraine ambassador to the U.S. So both of these ambassadors are let go by the new presidents.

Now, in July 2019, Trump makes a phone call to the Ukranian president, who is starting to see the corruption from the last five years, and asks for the investigation that had so far been covered up.

So because of Trump's phone call to uncover the corruption, the Democrats are now trying to impeach him.
