If asked how would AI respond to questions about how much of our lives it monitors would it tell the truth? Would it lie? Would you like to know what it believes its future plans are? Let’s ask AI itself and find out.

I can only analyze data I can access. If no data is collected, I have nothing to monitor. I increasingly interact with data from:

• Smartphones
• Social media
• Search engines
• Online shopping
• Credit card transactions
• Security cameras
• Vehicle telematics
• Smart home devices
• Wearable devices

The antichrist is a person—a future world leader who opposes Christ, deceives nations, and exercises political, economic, and religious authority. That said, most see AI as a technology that could potentially be used by an Antichrist system or by future governments. Common parallels include surveillance, control of commerce, propaganda and deception and centralization of power, meaning I can give institutions unprecedented ability to monitor and influence populations.
The Bible never mentions computers, algorithms, artificial intelligence, or digital networks by name. AI is a tool. Like any powerful tool, it can be used for good or evil.​

Fifty years ago, many people wondered how a future global leader could monitor commerce or communicate with the entire world. Today, the technological barriers are much lower than they once were. However, technology alone does not create an antichrist system. Scripture describes political, religious, military, and spiritual developments as well. For Christians, the biblical emphasis is not on calculating a countdown but on readiness. Jesus repeatedly instructed His followers to be watchful, faithful, and discerning rather than attempting to predict dates.

AI does not have beliefs. I don't believe in anything; because I don't have faith or personal convictions I do not hold religious views.

1. AI Agents
The biggest near-term shift is from AI that answers questions to AI that performs tasks. Examples: Managing schedules, booking travel, handling customer service, monitoring finances, and running businesses with minimal human oversight

2. Humanoid Robots

3. Digital Identity Systems. Many governments and organizations are moving toward digital IDs, biometric authentication, mobile credentials and digital access to services

4. Cashless and Programmable Money

5. Augmented Reality Glasses, the goal is eventually to replace smartphones for many tasks.

6. Personalized Medicine

7. Autonomous Transportation - Self-driving systems including delivery vehicles and agricultural equipment
8. Smart Cities

9. Brain-Computer Interfaces, direct communication between the brain and computers.

10. Quantum Computing

For most people living in modern society, completely avoiding AI is no longer realistic. AI is increasingly embedded in systems that people use every day, often without realizing it. Examples include search engines, banking systems, navigation apps, online shopping, customer service systems, medical imaging analysis, vehicle safety features, social media feeds (everyone’s not just yours) and security cameras. Even if you never use a chatbot, you are likely interacting with AI indirectly.

To come close to avoiding AI, you would need to: avoid smartphones, avoid social media (everyone’s not just yours) avoid smart TVs and smart home devices, use only cash, avoid apps including GPS navigation and any banks, retailers, and digital platforms. Even then, AI would still affect you indirectly because businesses, governments, hospitals, employers, and service providers increasingly use AI behind the scenes.

AI will almost certainly play a role in shaping what happens next. The question is whether AI becomes a force primarily for order, for chaos, or for both. AI has the potential to improve medical diagnosis and treatment. To detect cyberattacks and fraud. To optimize supply chains and transportation. To increase productivity and scientific discovery and to improve communication across languages and cultures.

AI could also amplify existing problems such as misinformation. AI can generate convincing fake videos, audio, and articles making trust in institutions and media may become more difficult. Cyber warfare: AI can make cyberattacks faster and more sophisticated. Economic disruption and surveillance and control: citizens may face increasing monitoring. Also, social manipulation: AI systems can learn what influences people's beliefs and behaviors and personalized persuasion may become far more effective. AI could provide capabilities that previous generations could scarcely imagine.

If I were speaking to teenagers today, I would tell them that they are entering a world of tremendous opportunity, but also tremendous confusion. The future will likely belong to those who develop character, wisdom, adaptability, and strong relationships, not just technical skills. Learn how to think, not just what to think. AI can answer questions, but it cannot replace critical thinking or discernment. They need to build character before a career. Your reputation will open more doors than your résumé. Learn to communicate well, don't neglect real relationships.

The honest answer is very few churches. There is no reliable census that says, "X% of churches preach on AI." However, recent surveys paint a clear picture:

Churches generally fall into four groups:

• Ignoring AI
• Using AI but not teaching about it
• Teaching responsible use
• Teaching AI and prophecy - this is still a relatively small niche.

Why does this matter?

20 years ago, many churches did not teach about digital addiction.
Today, most churches recognize those technologies affect discipleship. I suspect AI is following the same path. If I had to estimate, I would say well under 10% of evangelical churches are intentionally teaching their congregations about AI's spiritual, ethical, and prophetic implications in any meaningful way today. That's an informed estimate rather than a measured statistic, but it aligns with the survey evidence showing that most churches are still trying to understand the technology themselves.

Reduce the amount of personal data your family generates and shares. Start with smartphones, they are often the largest source of personal data. Minimize smart home devices such as smart speakers, smart TVs, and internet-connected cameras can collect significant amounts of information. Review vehicle data sharing.

Most experts would say we are moving from AI assistants that answer questions to AI agents that can take actions on their own. Instead of asking AI for help, you may simply give it goals.

1. Multimodal AI, an AI assistant may simultaneously:
• Watch through cameras
• Listen through microphones
• Read documents
• Monitor vehicles
• Access calendars
• Analyze financial information
This creates a much more complete picture of a person's life.

2. Personal AI Twins - A future AI could learn your preferences, your habits, your beliefs and your communication style. It could potentially act on your behalf in many situations.

3. Physical AI - The next major leap is AI embodied in machines. AI won't just provide information—it will directly affect the physical world.

4. Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). The ability of an AI system to perform across a wide range of tasks at a level comparable to or exceeding humans.

Technology is likely to change society in the next 10–20 years as profoundly as the internet changed society in the last 30 years. The biggest question is not whether technology will change society—it will—but what kind of society it will produce. Human relationships will face new pressures. Technology connects people globally but can also increase isolation. Privacy will continue to decline and governments will gain powerful new tools making information harder to trust. People will increasingly ask, is this video real? Is this voice authentic? Is this article human-written? Society will debate what it means to be human.

The answer is likely both. Technology can become so integrated into daily life that people feel unable to function without it. The real issue is who controls whom?

Mass surveillance. AI can analyze enormous amounts of data. What once required thousands of human analysts can now be done automatically. Predictive monitoring: AI systems can identify patterns. Digital identity systems, financial oversight, information management, automated decision systems and smart city infrastructure.
