Asset Bubbles & Overvaluation
Many AI companies today are valued far beyond their current profitability. Because these AI companies are spending and committing millions and billions of dollars, they have created an extraordinary scenario which the tech world is calling circular deals. This means company A is buying stock in company B and then company B takes those funds and uses the same dollar to buy companies A’s product. This creates a scenario where no profit is made, HOWEVER both companies present this as financial increase. For example, it was recently announced that Microsoft just invested $13 billion into Open AI. Open AI then turned around and used the same $13 billion to purchase Microsoft’s cloud service. This means, Open AI paid Microsoft for cloud services with Microsoft’s own investment money, and as this transaction is completed, it allows Microsoft to count this as growth. Another example is Oracle putting $40 billion into Nvidia, Nvidia then puts $100 billion into Open AI and then Open AI uses those funds to buy Nvidia chips.
The Illusion of Growth: AI’s Circular Deals
The arrangement of these deals is circular because money spent by one player is returned as revenue for another. This gives the impression of solid growth. However, this scenario is now being compared to the 1990s dot-com bubble. Analysts are predicting the AI bubble to be seventeen times the size of the dot-com bubble and four times the size of the 2008 global real estate crisis. The danger lays in the façade, as people believe companies such as Microsoft are growing, they buy more of that company’s stock. This is what causes a “bubble.”
Seven companies - Amazon, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Meta and Tesla make up 34% of the entire S & P 500 entire value. In fact, analysts go as far as saying that these tech companies have so dominated the stock market that if we take away these seven companies, the stock market has not grown in the last 2 years. It has been stagnant sans these seven companies. This scenario can be a direct threat to people’s retirement and pensions.
If the AI bubble bursts (similar to the dot-com crash), we will see:
• Sudden stock market corrections
• Layoffs across tech sectors
• Sharp pullback in venture capital
• Mergers as weaker companies will be forced to collapse
Even if the bubble does pop, companies that effectively integrate AI will dominate their industries. This means even if the bubble bursts financially, AI adoption keeps growing. The bubble will increase the wealth gap between Big Tech and everyone else.
From a geopolitical perspective, even if the financial bubble bursts, the AI arms race will not stop. The U.S. and China will still move forward as AI has now become the new nuclear race. This scenario has the potential to affect:
• Military targeting
• Cyber warfare
• Autonomous drones
• Space systems
Global Inequality
Countries without AI infrastructure will fall behind. Especially countries such as Africa, South America and parts of Eastern Europe. The AI transformation will become the new form of digital colonization. Economic control and global messaging along with identity verification and restrictions will further divide global inequality.
The Human Factor
For the individual, the AI bubble will add to the rise of loneliness & synthetic relationships. The world’s acceptance of AI girlfriends, boyfriends, companions, coaches, and mentors will cause these digital relationships to become more mainstream. How close are we to a day when people will choose AI over real humans. This has the ability to strongly affect marriage rates and birth rates.
We cannot overlook the spiritual and moral impact. AI is already poised to bring on the erosion of moral boundaries as it continues to desensitize individuals. AI-generated erotica, synthetic relationships, and hyper-customized fantasies will increase addiction as it normalizes dark content. The bubble will only accelerate this moral drift.
Because AI is a powerful tool the potential for great deception is a real reality. AI already has the ability for mass persuasion. The bubble will cause many to seek spiritual truth, and AI will fill that vacuum with false signs and deepfake miracles, thus leading more people towards eternal separation from God. This scenario aligns with Revelation's themes of the antichrist image that speaks, a global control system, more false prophets and deep delusions in the last days.
Whether the bubble bursts or not, AI permanently changes the world. It will affect jobs, geopolitics, it will eventually erode trust, and it will cause great harm to human relationships and morality. Many will want to focus on finances and the economy while forgoing such vital aspects of life as one’s spiritual condition and readiness. These are all real issues today; the bubble will only determine how fast and how violently those changes take place.
Driven by Man’s Pride
Just like the builders on the plains of Shinar said, “Come, let us make a name for ourselves…” (Genesis 11:4) Today’s tech leaders echo those same words, promising to create artificial “superintelligence” that rivals or surpasses the human mind God created. The AI bubble is not merely economic, it is spiritual.
An AI crash could wipe out trillions in stock market value. If that happens then:
• global credit will be tightened
• which will trigger mass layoffs
• and cause rapid consolidation of tech power
The Prophetic Warning: Deception at Scale
This aligns with the warnings in James 5:1 about the misery that comes to those who have hoarded wealth in the last days.
AI has already caused truth to become obstructed as deception becomes the norm. We will live in a world where:
• no video can be trusted
• no voice can be verified
• no document is safe from manipulation
This aligns with Jesus’ warning in Matthew 24 that deception would be the primary sign of the last days.
2 Thessalonians 2 speaks of a “strong delusion” coming upon the world.
Synthetic media, deepfake miracles, and AI-driven propaganda create the perfect climate for mass deception. How far are we from a centralized power structure?
Daniel 7 and Revelation 17 describe a world system where power is consolidated.
Already, AI requires:
• massive computers
• massive datasets
• massive surveillance
• massive global coordination
These modern advancements naturally pushes the world toward the very system Scripture warned about.
Let This Be a Call to Wake Up
The age of AI is not something to fear, it is something to prepare for.
The church must be awake, not asleep. Wise not naïve. Disciplined not distracted. Discerning not deceived. Courageous not compromised. Anchored in Scripture, not swept by culture.
Now is the moment for believers to rise up and say: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
