What Are Ezekiel 38 Nations?

Ezekiel 38

Ezekiel 38:5-6 lists 5 nations that will form an alliance with Magog.

These nations will seek to attack Israel but God will intervene…

Vs 11 says that Israel will be living as “a peaceful and unsuspecting” people

Vs 14-16 says “This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? 15 You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. 16 You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land.”

Vs. 18-19 says “This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign LORD. 19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.”

Ezekiel 39:3-4 says “I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand. 4 On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you.

Ezekiel 38 – The Battle of Gog and Magog – 6 Nations Listed

  1. Magog = Modern Day Russia
  2. Persia = Modern Day Iran
  3. Cush = Modern Day Ethiopia
  4. Put = Modern Day Libya
  5. Gomer = Modern Day Eastern Europe
  6. Beth Togarmah = Modern Day Turkey

NOTICE: This attack takes place at a time when Israel is living in a time of “safety” and are “peaceful” and “unsuspecting”.

An obvious question to ask is, if nations were going to form an alliance against Israel, where are Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt & Gaza in Ezekiel’s prophecy????

I believe those nations are listed in Psalm 83. See that page for more details.
